Plan and track project work

Plan a project phase and its assigned task, then record progress separately.

Break the work into a phase

Open the project and choose Schedule. Select Add a phase, enter a name, and add planned start and finish dates if useful. Choose Add phase to save it.

Schedule and assign a task

Within the phase, choose Schedule work. Enter the task under Work, choose its Day, and optionally enter estimated Minutes. Choose Add. To assign it, choose a crew under Assign to... and select Go.

Record the crew's work

On the assigned day, open the task card. Select Arrive and confirm arrival. When the work is finished, select Complete and confirm. Back in the project Schedule, review Completion history.

Update phase progress separately

In Schedule, set the phase to In progress and choose Update. When the phase work is finished, set it to Complete and choose Update. Completing a task does not complete its phase, and changing phase status does not change the overall project status.

Start and close the project

A new project stays Draft until the crew first arrives at one of its project tasks; that arrival makes it Active. Completing tasks or phases does not close the project. When the project is Active, a Dispatcher can use Project closeout and choose Complete project after every phase and task is complete and no punch-list items are open or disputed. The completed project shows its Completed on date.

Confirm what was built

On the assigned project task, the crew records each drawing item in What went in, choosing In, Not in, or Something else. After every item has an answer, open the project Overview. A Dispatcher can review the as-built list and choose Commit as-built for an Active or Completed project with drawing items; projects in other statuses and drawings with no items cannot be committed.
